Kevin Holder has received many commissions for his artwork including the
Government House Mural Project, US Virgin Islands, sponsored by Virgin Islands Anti-Litter
And Beautification Committee, selection as Artist in Residence in the “Seas Program” by the
DC Commission on the Arts in 2000. He also received numerous awards for his artwork
including the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities “Art in Public Places” (2000), and the
St. Johns-St. Thomas Arts Council Caribbean Color Award – First Place in 1998.He was
also nominated for the District of Columbia Mayor’s Arts Awards (1995).
Recently, Mr. Holder’s work was selected to be among the nearly 200 works of art that was acquired by the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities for the inaugural phase of the new City Hall Art Collection at the John A. Wilson Building in Washington, DC. This collection was unveiled in October 2006.
