Kate Norris rips wallpaper to tell stories. She explores the convergence of nature and human creation through the medium of collage. Drawing inspiration from vintage scientific illustration, she blends the organic beauty of nature with the human designed world. Her collages open up conversations about nostalgia, process, techniques, symbolic associations and social commentary.
Norris graduated with a BA from Stanford University and earned her MFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She has exhibited her work in Miami, San Francisco, New York City, Tampa, Tennessee, and Baltimore.
