Judith's profile

Judith Krummeck is a writer, broadcaster, and immigrant. She is the author of the biographical memoir, Old New Worlds, a finalist in the 2020 Next Generation Indie Book Awards and the 14th Annual National Indie Excellence® Awards; and a memoir in essays, Beyond the Baobab, about her immigrant experience. Her debut novel, The Deceived Ones, is forthcoming in May 2024. Her screenplay adaptation of Philida, based on the Man Booker Prize finalist by André Brink, is currently in development. Judith is the evening drive-time host for WBJC, 91.5 FM, Maryland's classical music station. She holds a BA in Drama & History of Art from the Univesity of Cape Town, and she graduated summa cum laude with an MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the Univerity of Baltimore.
