John Brandon's profile

John Brandon Sills received his BA in Fine Art at Towson State University in 1984, during which time he spent a semester in Florence, Italy studying Renaissance art. After graduating, John attended the Schuler School of Fine Art in Baltimore, spending four years studying Classical Realism.

John's paintings are in numerous collections in the United States as well as collections in Canada, England, France, Jamaica, Grand Cayman B.W.I. and Australia. He has won many awards including the People's Choice award at the 2009 Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association's Paint Annapolis competition. John also won the Best Painting by a Maryland Artist award in the prestigious Plein Air Easton competition in 2110 and the First Place award at the Have de Grace Plein Air competition in 2009 and 2110.

Today John shares his knowledge by teaching landscape painting classes at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Md.
