Jim Dugan is the Wood Fired Kiln Manager and a Resident Artist at Baltimore Clayworks. Jim moved to Baltimore four and a half years ago following his past experiences as a Studio Manager and Outreach Coordinator at Touchstone Center for Crafts in Farmington, PA, and a five year position as the Studio Manager and Head Technician at Vermont Clay Studio in Waterbury Center, VT.

Jim's work in Baltimore has focused on wheel thrown and wood fired functional pottery. His pieces range from tiny shot cups to oversized bowls, vases and platters, with a wide variety of forms in between. Jim is interested in exploring the possibilites of the various forms while maintaining the functional necessities.
