I am a collector of cast off objects. I am attracted to things that are well worn, and past their prime: remnants that have been handled and used, displaying evidence of their past purposes and scars of their age and decay. My interest in these objects is to recontextualize them from their mundane origins and elevate them to a kind of holy relic. I am fascinated by how two completely unrelated elements placed together transcend their original intentions and inherit new purposes and meanings. These parts and images become icons of a whole story that is not told but only hinted at, or pointed towards.
