Jasmin's profile

Jasmin Manning, hailing from Baltimore, MD, is a contemporary artist, muralist, and graphic designer. Her journey into fine arts began in her early years, leading her to the George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology in Towson, MD. Here, she honed her skills in visual arts, drawing, and painting, cultivating a traditional style with a focus on creating portraits using graphite, oil paint, and acrylic paint. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Art and Design from Towson University, specializing in General Design Studies.

Having showcased her work in various art exhibitions in the DMV area, New York, and Miami, Jasmin currently serves as the Emerging Artists Program Manager at R.I.S.E Arts Center of Baltimore, a non-profit organization based in Baltimore City. In her artistic endeavors, she skillfully captures the beauty of black icons and those of the African diaspora, through her traditional oil portraits and vibrant, bold, and dynamic acrylic portraits. Jasmin remains dedicated to using her artistic and creative talents to inspire others.

Whether working on large-scale murals in public spaces or more intimate studio-based portraits and compositions, Jasmin is committed to creating work that is grounded in community and shared experience. Her murals serve as visual anchors within neighborhoods, while her smaller works offer quieter moments of reflection. Across mediums and scales, her work functions as both a personal expression and a collective offering—one that encourages presence, care, and dialogue. Through this practice, Jasmin seeks to create meaningful visual narratives that honor lived experience and affirm the beauty, depth, and complexity of Black life.
