Hal's profile

As I am refining my skills in pen/ink, graphite/colored pencil, and oil/watercolor painting, I enjoy creating life studies, portraits, and plein air paintings. My subject matter is wide. Recently, I have explored abstract art in watercolor and colored pencil and I started a series of watercolors reflecting my Vietnam War experience. Also, I have been capturing the political scene, personalities, and conflict. I have joined the Maryland Portrait Society, the Oxford Art Alliance and the Hartford Art Association. My works are and have been on display in the HAA Gallery in Bel Air, the Arts by the Bay Gallery in Havre de Grace, the 220 Gallery in Havre de Grace, the Hogan Art Gallery in the BWI Airport, the Columbia Art Center, and the Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air. As for my formal training, I received a BA in Studio Art from Moravian University, Bethlehem, PA.
