Francine's profile

Francine Marchese is a teacher and a painter. She is inspired by simplicity, the energy of young children, the scent of oil paints, books in print, and traveling. Francine has identified as an artist from a young age. She still uses the painting easel that her parents bought her when she was ten-years-old. She currently resides in Bolton Hill, Baltimore, where the architecture and narrow streets provide her with a familiar, old-world, city feeling. She studied Renaissance Art in Florence, Italy and she studied painting at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She adores living near the MICA, for the artists it attracts, the galleries, and the vibrancy of a neighborhood in which art is life.
