My name is Ellen Durkan. I believe that is how these things start. My resume will inform you about my education so this will tell you a few things about me. I usually tell people I teach and I bartend, or just an artting bartender. I grew up around Wilmington, Delaware, (which is actually a state, had several debates with smart creatures over that.) I am the oldest of 9 children. I figure my parents kept going until they got an astrophysicist or something, but thus far we have a bunch of artists and musicians. I like to believe I started the trend in the family. Now I do some form of blacksmithing , no, I don?t shoe horses (but they would look awesome if I did.) Currently I am working on wearable steel attire for women, I built a series of stationary metal dresses , now I am building accessories for them. A new body of work that could be worn down a runway?..
