Elizabeth Burin is an independent artist working in Baltimore. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Switzerland, she holds a doctorate in art history from the University of Cambridge. She worked as a museum curator and taught ancient and medieval art history before turning to studio art, earning a Certificate of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Elizabeth Burin is a Signature Artist member of the Baltimore and Philadelphia Watercolor Societies, exhibits frequently in the mid-Atlantic area and online, and has received many awards for her work. She lives in Baltimore with her husband.
