"An anchored ship, although safe, is never free". This approach to how I relate with music (and life) has made for some spiritual, adventurous, and nerve-wracking performances. I am a trumpeter/composer in the Baltimore area performing with a wide variety of groups but my main focus is the Screaming Art Large Ensemble. The Screaming Art Large Ensemble looks like a traditional 19 piece big band but it is far from it. The ensemble has consisted of over 50 muscians. All the music is composed by myself with influences such as Michael Formanek, John Hollenbeck, Thelonious Monk, and countless others. The ensemble recorded it's debut album and will be releasing it January 2019. The album is a 7 piece 52 mintue suite. The piece contains spoken word, swinging jazz, full band open improvisations, metal-ish grooves, Flutes and Clarinets, as well as many twist and turns as it is through composed. .
