I've been told my content is dark. I've never thought so but it's been said so many times I've now come to accept it. My children insist that I have secondary or inherited PSTD. Both my parents worked for the Dutch Underground during WWII but not together. My father was captured and sent to a hard labor camp. He later escaped. My mother forged hundreds of identity papers and ration cards. Her finance was captured and executed. My parents met after the war. I'm an only child and they shared their wartime stories over dinner. Many of them I've never shared with anyone.
These aren't photographs. These aren't sculptures. But they are something of both. These dioramas capture a potential moment and then invite the viewer to complete a narrative. Constructed, coded and rendered in 3D CAD.
