Devin Robinson, professionally known as GMD Dev, is a Baltimore based performing artist, recording artist, actor, creative director, and entrepreneur. He is a founding member of Global Minded Demeanor GMD, a hip hop collective rooted in Baltimore City whose work reflects the complexity of growing up across multiple environments shaped by struggle, love, pain, resilience, and survival. GMD’s music explores what it means to navigate toxic conditions without becoming consumed by them, embodying growth, accountability, and evolution much like a rose growing through concrete.

As both a solo artist and a member of GMD, Devin has spent over five years building a consistent presence in Baltimore’s live performance scene. Together and individually, GMD Dev and his group partners have produced and performed at independent showcases, curated events, and community based performances, while also opening for nationally recognized artists visiting the city. Their shows are high energy, engaging, and designed to be fun, memorable experiences that bring people together. Audiences are not just watching a performance, they are part of an atmosphere that encourages connection, movement, and shared moments that last beyond the night.

GMD Dev’s artistic practice is centered on live performance as a tool for connection, transformation, and enjoyment. In addition to music, Devin’s background as an independent filmmaker and actor informs his approach to performance. He has produced and starred in multiple narrative films, including the Decisions series and the psychological horror thriller Leonard. While film is not the focus of his live practice, it strengthens his ability to craft cohesive narratives, direct performers, and design emotionally driven experiences that translate naturally to staged performance and spoken storytelling.

Operating independently and without traditional industry backing, Devin has built an artist led ecosystem that prioritizes access, collaboration, execution, and creative momentum for Baltimore creatives.
