david's profile

David Eberhardt became a peace protester, pouring blood on draft files in 1967 against the Viet Nam war. He was incarcerated at Lewisburg Federal Prison for 21 months, which led him to 33 years of work in the criminal injustice system. He wrote a memoir, For All the Saints, about his time in prison and how it also led to work with peace activists. In addition, he published four chapbooks of poetry and has read all around the Baltimore area. He is applying to the Baker award in hopes of continuing his writing and activism.
