My professional teaching career in Baltimore County Public Schools began forty-one years ago. During this time I have assumed the responsibilities of Art Department Chairman and Team Leader, Curriculum Writer and Presenter, Foreign Exchange Program Leader to Russia and Ukraine, Gymnastic Coach and Judge, two time Class Advisor, Adult Teacher Photography Show Coordinator, Student Teacher Mentor, “Young Peoples Studio” Instructor, Maryland Institute College of Art, Community College of Baltimore County Adult Education Instructor, Claus Nobel Educator of Distention 2013 recipient, Who’s Who Among American Art Teachers, Selected twice as “Teacher of the Year” at Catonsville High School and Sudbrook Magnet Middle, Faculty Advisor for George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology chapter of the National Art Honor Society, and working artist and documentary photographer.
My community involvement includes working with the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Towson Business Association and The Spring Festival, Maryland Special Olympics/ Polar Bear Plunge, Assistant Cub Master, Pack 729, Boy Scouts of America, Scout Master, Troop 5, Wood Badge Recipient, National Scout Master Recognition, Scout, High Adventure Leader.
