Baker Artist Portfolios

BZ (Sarah Berns-Zieve) is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Baltimore, Maryland. Her work spans film, photography, and movement, centering collaborative, community-rooted storytelling. Through documentary and observational practices, she explores identity, memory, embodiment, and the ways people relate to place and one another.

A graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts, BZ is the founder of BZ Productions, where she develops film and media projects grounded in long-term relationships and ethical engagement. She is also the founder and director of Arts Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a sustainable creative ecosystem in Baltimore. Through initiatives such as Subject Tew Change and The Mixing Bowl, her work foregrounds local voices and creates space for exchange, reflection, and collective care.
