Baker Artist Portfolios

I am Bridgette C. Burton, raised by Maxine, Crystal and Corliss with southern hospitality and
prayers, and shaped to serve my community. I cultivate space for creatives to dream and
explore as their authentic selves. As a multi-hyphenate creative, my work fuses theater, poetry,
and music. When I write, I hear songs. When I write, I see characters who dream that one day
they will not have to be stuck in their dreams. That one day, they can live out the dreams that
comfort them at night. My sweet spot is connecting with other creatives and learning about their
crafts and gifts. I have been able to do this through my work at various arts organizations, which
has given me new perspectives that I apply to different projects.
