Benjamin Shalva's poetry and prose has appeared in publications including The Washington Post, Image, and Spirituality & Health Magazine. He is the author of one book of poetry, House of Mourning (Kelsay Books), and two books of nonfiction, Spiritual Cross-Training and Ambition Addiction (Grand Harbor Press). A rabbi and hospice chaplain, Benjamin serves as Manager of Jewish Care, Support, and Rabbinic Services for Gilchrist Hospice. He lives in Baltimore with his wife, Sara, and their two hound dogs.
