Ashley's profile

Ashley Milburn has M.Ed in Community Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art and M.Ed in Classroom Instruction from the University of Rio Grande with a concentration in Multiple Intelligences (MI). He is a Vernacular Artist and cultural organizer who received a Fellowship from Open Society Institute in 2008 to continue his work in West Baltimore. Ashley has 10 years of teaching at public schools, 4 years as a Lecturer in Fine Arts at Pennsylvania State at Altoona and University of Rio Grande. He is a former Peace Corps Volunteer. Ashley's studio work has focused upon visualizing racism. Currently, Ashley's work is,currently, exploring new methods and applications for large-scale watercolors.
