Angel's profile

Angel King Wilson is a Baltimore native, professor, entrepreneur, activist, and multidisciplinary artist dedicated to storytelling in its many forms. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore and is the Founder and CEO of Silent Books Publishing (SBP), a full-service self-publishing company that helps aspiring authors bring their literary visions to life.

Wilson is the author of Am I Doing This Right? and the co-director of the award-winning film Hiding in the Walls, which has been showcased at multiple film festivals, including the Black Girls Rock Film Fest and the Maryland International Film Festival. Her work—both in print and on screen—has been studied at institutions such as Morgan State University, Towson University, and West Virginia Wesleyan College.

As an Adjunct English Professor at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) and the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), Wilson is deeply committed to education and mentorship. Her dedication to the arts was recognized in 2022 when she received the Maryland Independent Artists Award.
