Adam's profile
Adam Mazur was born and bred within the New Brunswick and Edison area of New Jersey. Because his immigrant grandparents raised him, he gained a plethora of “old country” values he still carries on today. In addition, because of his parents’ working conditions, not to mention their commute to their designated borough in New York and back, Adam would stay with his parents at night, who live just on the outskirts from the town of Princeton, New Jersey.
As long as he could remember he had always enjoyed drawing and writing. It wasn’t until during his maturity when he became aware of his addiction to create and his constant yearning for satisfaction in result of his addiction. Although Adam had dabbled in different mediums throughout his primary and middle school years, it wasn’t until he entered high school when art had become his major focus in his education. In result of his four years of studying under his favorite teacher’s guidance, he graduated high school with the Institute of New Jersey State Art Honor Award and the Institute of New Jersey Award for Excellence in Portfolio.
Adam moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 2007 to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art. With eager curiosity, he has experimented with many different mediums to gain a rounded knowledge of different disciplines. Adam is now focusing on his fascination of dreams and is applying the abstract fragments of his dreams and visions to convey the stories within his work.
