New opportunities for Baker Artists to display and sell their work in Summer 2024 including at WTMD's First Thursday Festivals and the Waterfront Partnership's Baltimore x Baltimore Festival.
Tent Space for Baker Artists to Display & Sell Art at WTMD's First Thursday Festival!
As Maryland's largest free concert series, WTMD's First Thursday Festivals bring about 10,000 people each month to Canton Waterfront Park for live music, local food and artisans. It runs once per month, June through September. Last year they added a Baker Artist Portfolios village featuring 10 artists from www.bakerartist.org. This year, they're expanding that to include around 18 Baker Portfolio artists per event
Dates:
June 6
July 11 (second Thursday due to July 4th)
August 1
September 5
WTMD will be setting up ten 10x10 tents per event, each with two 6-foot tables and tablecloths, where folks can display and sell their works. The Baker Artist Portfolios village will be right along one of the main thoroughfares connecting the parking lot/vendor village with the park/main stage grounds.
Load in takes place at 3 p.m. each day, and the festival runs 5-10 p.m., although most vendors leave by 9 p.m.
Artists can apply to participate at a single event during the summer concert series.
There is no cost for artists to apply or participate.
Note: Since First Thursdays already has a musical component, these will be for visual artists and artisans, not musicians/performers.
Artists with questions or who are interested in participating should contact Sam Sessa, Director of Events at WTMD at [email protected]
