Surface Tension
Surface Tension is an exploration of mutability, control, and the desire to move from chaos to quiet. Paint is poured, bleeds, and blends, separates and stains, and is pressed between different surfaces to create the images. The moment of contact between surfaces is crucial-- both are left with traces of the other. It strives to speak of touch, time, and empathy. This way of working also freezes the entropy of the liquid material-- the chaos is calmed, but never fully resolves into order.
