Temporary Monuments
These works were made in an effort to bring my art practice out of a studio context. The work consisted of making temporary reminders and documenting them before their inevitable disappearance. They were in part made to help me become more aware of my time and place and create a way for me to be in the world.
Important Moment Creation Kit
This work was an effort to use the cinematic cues of what makes an important and meaningful moment (lights, music, human interaction ect) and bring it into a real life interaction.

Imagined Histories
"Imagined Histories" is an ongoing project in which photos are taken of strangers, usually from long distances away, and short fictional narratives are written based on the photographs.
The stories are written as short melodramas to give a fictional weight and new importance to the possibly mundane everyday situations.

"Runnin' Down A Dream"
"RUNNIN' DOWN A DREAM' is a written work/visual essay concerning a fictitious short film of the same name. The piece recounts the unmade film to the reader, concerning the practice of trying to make a "successful piece" , acknowledging
the eternal to and from , the feeling of chasing something down only to turn back
back right from where you came.

UntitledThis video short was made in conjunction with the "Exquisite Corpse Video Project" produced by the Baltimore based publication "Real Guts". [Statement about the project from "Real Guts"] : "For this issue we have taken the Surrealist drawing game known as the "exquisite corpse" and applied it to a video format. Nine different artists were invited to participate, each responding to the last 30 seconds of the previous artists' work. We selected one actor to function as a constant throughout the entire project, allowing each artist to incorporate him into their videos however they saw fit." One Idiot Talking - Still 1

ONE IDIOT TALKING - (Excerpt - 2013)"One Idiot Talking" is an experimental, semi-autobiographical short that exists between the mundane day to day and the surreal space within the mind of an unnamed, strained "20-something" protagonist. An impressionistic sketch of amusement and bewilderment, of the role of the performer and reality of the day-job worker. Shot entirely on VHS tape, "One Idiot Talking" is a surreal home video, a pseudo self-portrait, reenacting moments both real and imagined. Directed, edited and shot in Baltimore city by Brendan Sullivan. 2012 -2013 (*EXCERPT - Full running Time 00:09:17)
