About Arabesque

Baltimore County
The Arabesque Duo is the husband and wife guitar duo of Kathrin Murray and Troy King. Formed in 2000, the duo's debut performance was at the Charlton Kings International Guitar Festival in Cheltenham, England. There, the composer Gilbert Biberian described them as "players of world stature." Since then, the duo has performed all across the United States, in such cities as New York, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Mendocino, CA, Honolulu, HI, and at the Interlochen Arts Festival in Michigan.     Pretencioso

    Pretencioso by Brazilian composer Alfredo Vianna, or Pixinguinha, as he is more commonly known.  This piece was arranged for two guitars by Carlos Barbosa-Lima and was adapted for and performed on ukulele by Kathrin Murray, with Troy King on guitar.
