Yefu's profile
Liu Yefu was born in 1986 in Beijing, China. He graduated from Oil Painting Department and got his BA in Capital Normal University in Beijing, China. In 2011, he moved to the United States to attend a Post-Baccalaureate Program at Maryland Institute College of Art. At present, he is pursuing his MFA of photographic and electric media in fall 2012 at MICA and got the highest scholarship.
His work established different virtual identities, and presented the possibility of a sweet vanity life in the future. He likes to participate with twisted reality events and observes how contemporary people create funny, absurd phenomenon and enjoy the system. He uses a sober attitude to look forward, the future, especially in this materialized information generation is what he describes it as: sadly pacing backward, while creating an illusion of its opposite.
