She has earned a Master of Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art, and a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art. She has exhibited throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, New Mexico, and Massachusetts for the past twenty-five years.

"Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by the visceral sense of the physical earth and sky - volume as mass and ethereal elements, existing bang-up against each other. This is the history of how the cosmic processes built up and broke down the surface of the earth over millennia.

"In my work I'm looking for that space between painting and sculpture because the visual joy is there. I find the tension of that place awe-inspiring. My work balances among disciplines too - somewhere in the mix of painting, manufactured materials, natural materials, and constructive sculpture."
