Nik Korpon writes about crime: Crimes of the Heart, Crimes of the Soul, and Crimes Where the Body Can't Be Hidden Fast Enough. His books include Stay God, Sweet Angel; Old Ghosts; By the Nails of the Warpriest; Fight Card: Punching Paradise; and Bar Scars: Stories. His work has been nominated for a Spinetingler, a Pushcart, and the Million Writers Award (twice), and his stories "That Pale Light in the West", "This Will All End Well", and "She Sleeps Beneath Clouds of Ember" have been adapted into short films. Outside of writing, he is the Assistant Editor of Dark House Press, an adjunct English Professor at CCBC and UMUC, a freelance editor and film noir geek. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and son.
