Solo Projects
Withhart presents a series of solo performances with both the site and audience engagement in consideration. Utilizing post-modern performance practice, Withhart often incorporates audience participation or alters audience perspective through shifts in the environment. Her solo works develop from personal stories and current cultural issues and juxtapose the humorous with profound.
Diet (2010): An improvisation that includes a love scene with a cheeseburger and treadmill. Set to Wesley Willis's "I'm sorry that I got fat."
#boiledrabbits (2012): "therapy, projection, transference, and other shenaningans..." Incorporating audience participation and set to Annie Ross's "Twisted."
yes, and... (2013): Exploring the concept of rapid accumulation as inspired by her new life as a mommy of twins.
suadade (2013): a deeply personal solo performed in the round. Nostalgia and the feeling of loss that can only come from the deepest sense of love.

The ONE Factor
A large ensemble piece created for The Collective, set to Blondie's "The Tide is High" - this humorous piece is a characature of femininity and the woman image in our media and culture.
solar
"solar" is a true artistic collaboration between science and the arts. The idea to create "solar" came from a NASA-contracted engineer who is working on the Solar Probe Plus project that launches in 2018 to complete the closest orbit of the sun and collect unique data on its journey. Inspired by the project description, spatial and time-based characteristics, this piece was created and continues to be developed in collaboration with the scientists and dancers.
the architecture of farewell
This current project is an exploration of goodbyes. With a focus on shifting landscapes, this installation and multi-media work seeks to create a shifting, unsettled landscape through which the inhabitants negotiate a utopian balance of space and time in relation to each other and the environment.
