Sculpture
"TWINS" is a sculptural representation of the narrative icons of "Moribund '74" (my contribution to Closed Caption Comics Issue 9). I "Moribund", mysteries surrounding the Kennedy assassination and Charles Manson's Helter Skelter are combined to create a new singular narrative supported by the existence of an alternate realm. "TWINS" explores the two poles of human existence within the contexts of "Moribund"'s logic; the corporeal/ visceral element represented by the box (coffin/amplifier) and the inexplicable/spiritual represented by the circular print (the infinite circle, the pit in the desert, the ascent into an alternate realm).
Twins was shown at The Joanna gallery in Houston, Texas and at Nudashank gallery in Baltimore, Maryland in 2012.
There are definite plans to construct more sculptures and installations along these lines as time and funding permit.

Moribund '74
Moribund '74 is my contribution to the Closed Caption Comics anthology issue 9. It loosely relays the discovery of an alternate reality by a presidential couple and the consequences and tangential relationships created by the discovery. The title is derived from the idea of being nearly dead or obsolete which parallels the plight of the characters within the story.
I use the book as a tool for narrative implication. These drawings are flooded with many seemingly incongruent plots and ideas; the book provides a format to collect and unify these dissimilar elements while enhancing the clarity and experience of the overarching narrative. The book provides progress where a single image cannot.
Closed Caption Comics 9 is a self-published, 6"x9", 192 page, perfect bound anthology produced in collaboration with 10 other artists. These excerpts are presented in full spreads as if you were viewing the actual book; 2 pages, side by side.

Vlonde- Aria"For this weeks film Aria (1987), we chose Chris Day's new project Vlonde to give his interpretation of some of the themes presented in the film. Competing with the likes of Verdi, Wagner, and Puccini, the release of this soundtrack is not necessarily a means of accompanying the film, nor to complement the already vast score of operas, but we took this opportunity to provide the this film's audience a fresh auditory breath. Viewers returning to this film will have the ability to reshape the intensity of the film before the screening at The Windup Space, and new listeners will have even more of an opportunity to have a completely separate understanding of the film before they even see it. DRAWING
Drawing has always been at the heart of my practice as an artist. It is the fundamental element around which everything else is based. These drawings, prints, and illustrations represent a sampling of my daily practice and show the foundation from which my design, print, and sculpture are spring-boarded. Many of these pieces are contributions to various publications in which my work has appeared in the last 3 years.
