After not painting for a number of years(addiction,homelessness) I began doing portraits in march 2016..At first just sketches (not shown)  ,then I began adding backgrounds I thought appropriate,using a mix of photos,  digital tools , watercolor ,ink,  some colored pencil, some acrylic.   This first grouping are from this period in early 2016.
