Tracie Marie's profile

A captivating dancer, actor, choreographer, director and spoken word artist, who believes in the power of individualism and creativity, born and raised in Baltimore Maryland, where she begin her training at the Baltimore School for the Arts, with a host of inspiring instructors, that included Sylvester Campbell and Stephanie Powell. She continued her dance and theatre training at Catonsville Community College, Studio 801, Morton Street Dance Studio, Towson State University and Coppin State University to name a few.
Tracie has an extensive performance history; she has graced the stage of countless venues including The Lyric, Arena Players, Center Stage and The National Black Theatre Festival. Ms. Jiggetts is the dance/musical theatre instructor at Baltimore Talent Development High School and New David Baptist Church. She is choreographer for Selah Performing Arts Ministry and Director for The Maryland Summer Center Arts Program at the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center. University of Maryland Division of Social Work, The Archdiocese of Baltimore and The Children’s Theatre Festival; have called upon Tracie to facilitate self-esteem through the arts workshops for girls ages 12 to 17. Most recently Ms. Jiggetts directed “Gem of the Ocean” and “Skittles and Sweet Tea: A choreopoem for social justice” at Connexions Performing Arts High School, “The Eagles who thought they were Chickens: A Musical” at Calvin Rodwell Elementary School; also “The Wiz”, “Grease” and “West Side Story” at E.Y.D Performing Arts Studio in Maryland.
Her style is an energetic mix of theatre, dance and spoken word, incorporating music and themes from all over the world. Tracie loves to challenge her students and audiences to use the arts as a catalyst to bring positive change in their lives and communities.
