Ric Royer is a writer, performer, performer of writings and writer of performances.
Ric is the founder and Artistic Director of the Psychic Readings Co, a performance collective that has entertained, frightened, and confused audiences with their interdisciplinary hysterics since 1999. The company has produced their strange brand of challenging and original theatre work which has been staged at various venues in the U.S. and Europe, including the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre, The D.C. Arts Center, the Maryland Institute for Contemporary Art, Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, Baltimore Theatre Project, Collapsible Hole and Rhizome. 

Additionally, Ric is an arts organizer who was a core curator for the Transmodern Performance Festival from 2006-2009, performance art curator of Fields Festival (2016) and Murdered Word, now in its third year; he has performed and recorded several music/performance pieces with his long-time sound collaborator G Lucas Crane. Their LP, Dark Cabinet, was released by Baltimore's EHSE Records in 2008; and his published works of literature include She Saw Ghosts He Saw Bodies (Narrow House, 2010), The Weather Not The Weather (Outside Voices, 2008), Hystery of Heat (Publishing Genius, 2007), There Were One and It Was Two (Narrow House, 2007) and Anthesteria (Bark Art Press, 2001).
