After graduating Towson University, leslie Peace jubilee lived in New York for 15 years where she earned an M.A. in Philosophy from SUNY, Stony Brook and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. While in New York, she conducted poetry workshops for young people and presented readings at various venues, including The Medicine Show and United Cerebral Palsy of New York. In 2000, she returned to the Baltimore area and has been a featured reader at Minas Gallery, Load of Fun Gallery, The Black Butterfly Café, The Harford Poetry and Literary Society, The Library of Progress and The Hamilton Arts Collective. Her work has been published in the online journal hidden city quarterly and in Poets' Ink. She is a member of Baltimore's Ransom Note Poets. She is the author of two chapbooks, Bloodlines and A Flaying of Tulips.
