Bad at Video Games

Inspired by a recent plane ride to Japan, I sought to capture both the feeling of looking at the sunrise over Alaska as well as contributing to my ongoing series of being an adolescent and "bad" at video games.

(Not) Bad

(Not) Bad Rough draft of an After Effects composition based on events from June/July. Imagery inspired by a lake house retreat and the 4th of July. The blinking "not bad" refers to my personal teetering state of being functional and dysfunctional as a side effect of caustic anxiety and insomnia. The camera is rapidly moving around the virtual space as if it were trapped and looking for a way out such as one feels in dealing with mental illness.

July Forever

July Forever is a documentary video portrait revolving around the life of a young Baltimore homeless couple, their addictions, and daily struggles. The name July Forever suggests both that their romance will endure longevity however their drug addiction to alcohol, crack, and heroin renders them unsustainable.
