I have been a professional painter for over 38 years. My work has been accepted into many national and regional competitions, most notably, the American Watercolor Society, the Baltimore Watercolor Society, the San Diego Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA, and the International Guild of Realism. Rural Landscapes

         I have been a professional artist for over 38 years. In recent years I have been interested in landscape painting and started painting en plein air with a local group. I paint in watercolor when I go out on location and I very like learning this skill. I have been juried into many plein air events and enjoy meeting the other artists. One of the things I have learned from these people is a sense that we are preserving and recording a vanishing landscape. I am attracted to the farm land in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic and look for quiet out of the way places and abandoned barns.
