My photographs from the last coronation printed on canvas and woven into traditional mats by a local weaver, to create cross cultural multi-discipline piece that blends the new and old with a pixelated look that is artisanally reproduced using a millennia old traditions.
The Coronation of the King of Tonga
a piece i shot originally for geo magazine that morphed into exhibition and the basis for new fiber work, for three weeks i witnessed a festival of polynesian grace that the world may never again see.
Toni From Tonga
toni was the first true HUMAN BEING that i ever met.
