About Nasrin
Baltimore City
When things break, empathy is almost always the thing that is missing whether it’s relationships, society, government or just a piece of furniture. My drive to create my art comes from my need to express and share how I feel about broken things, reach for the empathy that’s missing, and show there’s always still potential for greatness no matter how broken something becomes.

Oil Painting
I started working with oil medium in 2013 and the challenge of maintaining the color made working with the medium more interesting than others. It is now one of my favorite media to work with.

Give a gift of life!
"What if, every dollar you spend to buy gifts/ decorate your home becomes a gift of life to someone else!"
The art pieces of this project are made of discarded materials like paper, glass, wood etc. collected in random events. This is an ongoing project and the entire amount earned from this project is donated to the charity of the buyers choice. Whoever bought paintings/ art from this project gave a gift of life to the children of Syria, Africa, Refugees of Rohingya and flood victims of Bangladesh. I'm looking forward to making much more.

Story of a Coffee Table
It took me 10 hours to make this coffee table from discarded wood trash. I found those trash at my boyfriend's gym. Additional waste materials used in this table are the oyster shell, bullet shell, pistachio nut shell, and glass top.

The JourneyFrom a third world country to a first world country, one thing is common for all women. We are shaped by many ideas, so many ideas that we hardly find our true selves to admire, to love and to appreciate! Though the forms of the idea are different the core is same. We are forced to become beautiful. I got this huge canvas (originally an add of Calvin Klein) from Macy's. I could not find any good topic to paint on it. I tried to portrait a painful journey where a woman can explore her true self and love the way she is.
