About Vincent
Baltimore City - Bromo Tower Arts District
I am a photographer who likes working with analogue cameras, developing my own film, and printing my own prints in the wet darkroom. I mainly work with a 4x5 camera, although smaller formats have their advantages and I do use them from time to time. I work only with available natural light (aka the sun) and nothing else despite some of my images appearing to contain artificial light sources. No smoke and mirrors, no photoshop techniques, just being in the right place at the right time.

Spaces: Henryton Hospital Center
These photographs are my attempt to capture the interaction between light and the spaces themselves, how the light sweeps and fills, how it obscures and highlights, how it takes shape, and how it helps to describe each individual space. To an extent chance plays an important role in the success of this body of work (being in the right place at the right time) and many times this has proved to be the case working only with natural light. I am constantly reminded of the fact that chance favors the prepared mind.
