December 19, 2016: In this piece, I connect the anagrammatic poetry of Surrealist writer and visual artist Unica Zürn with my own experiences working with experimental constraint-based form (see my project Stet above). The organic progression between this post and the subsequent posts featured here is representative of my writing for The Kenyon Review blog, in which a personal interest or experience often becomes a catalyst for a broader investigation of contemporary poetry and literary history.
