Threading History in Place Bromo Tour - Stephen Wise menswear designer
Presented by Everyman Theatre, Threading History in Place: Bromo District Walking Tour explored the invisible public spaces and storied buildings reflecting the history of Baltimore’s fashion industry, department stores and garment district. The tour highlighted past and present political, development, and marketing efforts shaping neighborhoods within the Bromo Arts and Entertainment District. Led by public artist Graham Coreil-Allen, the tour also featured several guest speakers, including historic preservationist Jackson Gilman-Forlini, Market Center Merchants Association Executive Director Kristen Mitchell, and bespoke menswear designer and local businessman Stephen Wise. Wise spoke about getting his start as garment manufacturer in the neighborhood and how he is using his Lexington Market storefront space as a cultural hub supporting other small businesses in the district.
