Media: Cellophane, Cork, Paper, Watercolor, Wood/ Summary: Whenever I happen upon a woodpecker, I always stop to watch. Their patterns, sounds, and behaviors each unique to different species. They are challenging to locate in my neighborhood, until I hear the sound of repetative knocking. Their strong necks and padded brains are specially adapted to absorb the shock of wood pecking.
