This painting entitled " A Prison Called Iran" was part of a group exhibition at Mgallery at the Intercontinental hotel in downtown Milwaukee. It was a part of a mentor mentee exhibition run by Marn. After the work was installed, they notified me that I must take my work down, or roll it up to the head of the drawing of the woman in the work. I decided to turn the work facing the wall of the gallery instead-- making a performance in protest of censorship during the reception.
