Acrylic ink, charcoal, paint pen, on hand cut Yupo and Reeves BFK papers, entomological pins
54” x 50” x 3”
This piece was made in response to a trip to Yellowstone National Park in February 2018. While observing the Mammoth Falls mineral pools, I was mesmerized by the way the water moved across the mineral deposits and how the colors of the minerals were illuminated by the glassy surface of the water. This piece is partly made from observation and partly made from my imagination.
