"I Can't Breathe" is a phrase all too familiar to us. It takes us back to Eric Garner dying on the streets of New York. At the time of this painting it was a kneeling on the neck of George Floyd instead of a choke hold, but both cases ended in the needless deaths of two black men. Many more Black men, women, and even children were killed before this. These deaths are outrageous! Unfortunately, our children are watching. They see these actions and wonder, "Am I Next?"
