Gun Shot - Domestic Violence

Use of guns in domestic violence has increased drastically. In recent decades, domestic violence has been recognized as the world’s most serious social problem, crossing cultural, social, and geographical boundaries to the extent that it is found in all societies and across all social classes. It is considered one of the main health problems among women given the negative effects of domestic violence on physical, mental, and pregnancy health. Although the problem of domestic violence is serious, it can be tracked and monitored, and women can be screened for signs of domestic violence during routine health services. Tracking domestic violence is the first step in dealing with the problem. (NCBI resources)
