Billy was squatting on top of the toilet lid in the stall at The El Corazón Disco Lounge, and he was staring at the gun in his shaking hands, the gun he had bought that afternoon at a pawnshop just outside the Smoky Ordinary town limits. The fluorescent lights were flickering, casting strange intermittent shadows on the bathroom ceiling.
