Autumn throughout the Mid-Atlantic provides a plethora of color within the trees and the landscape. And although I love to travel and capture beautiful landscapes throughout the entire country, sometimes beautiful scenes unfold literally right outside of your front door. As in this case with the tree that grows in our front yard.
Every year it’s so much fun to see this tree begin its autumn color change and then peek and explode with amazing colors for about a week or two. The issue is that it never really lends itself to good imagery. That was until some big, white puffy clouds came upon the scene in the later afternoon with some low beautiful light. I positioned myself almost directly under the tree and began shooting straight up … the sky, the clouds, the brilliant light and these beautiful leaves of this tree came together in a burst color and shapes.
