Warren Linn was born, reared, and established in Chicago, moved to NY City in 1980, and to Baltimore
in 2002 after joining the Faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1997. He lived, worked, and taught in Florence at SACI spring semester 2011 and worked in France numerous times over the past decade.
Linn has exhibited nationally and internationally, while working with newspaper and magazine art directors and editors for virtually every major American print publication from 1969 to 2016. His work is in 14 American Illustration annuals, most recently in 2017, and in The Society of Illustrators 200 Years of American Illustration.
Exhibiting regularly in gallery venues over his entire professional life, while maintaining a full-time illustration Practice, in mid 2012 he began focusing exclusively on personally directed projects.
Linn is represented by Denise Bibro Fine Art, in New York City, and has work in The Permanent Print & Drawing Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne, and numerous private collections.
